Wisconsin Dells!

Monday, we went to the Wisconsin Dells.
We took a Duck Boat tour. The kids found our tour guide, Matthew, hilarious. He told a LOT of dad jokes.

Anyway, the tour was loads of fun. We saw much of the dells. 
After, Stefanie and Dylan went on a jet boat tour of the lower dells. They loved it. It was wet. No, that's an understatement. They were drenched when done. They poured water out of their sneakers! No pictures, obviously. But heres a before shot!
Meanwhile, Jo and Sarah went on a relaxing tour of the upper dells. They even got to see a german shephard jump a 5.5 foot gap! It was insane! It was hot, but dry.

After meeting back up, we all went for lunch back the campsite. Then we spent some time in the pool before treating ourselves to Jimmy John's (subs) for dinner.

In honor of National Graham Cracker day, we had to have smores! Stefanie built a nice fire for us to enjoy.

Today we trekked out of Monument Valley and headed east. We visited 4 Corners, a place Sarah has wanted to go for 30 years.   Next, we went to Cortez CO, where we set up camp for the night. We had a yummy lunch at The Farm Bistro and swam for about 2 hours. We ran into someone who was "with" us at Monument Valley and they told us to see Mesa Verde because its so close and really pretty. It did not disappoint.

Busy day!

We started the day with banana chocolate chip pancakes.  We then went strawberry picking. We May have eaten as much as we picked.  After, grandma came for lunch and then we played on the beach for an hour. Bacon and eggs for dinner, then Smores with our new friends.  It's been a busy but fun day!!

What a day! We've been having a,blast touring and...swimming. Today we woke up early and drove to Mt Rushmore. The kids were amazed. They loved it. We saw plaques for all the states and territories. Found NY! After Mt Rushmore, we HAD to visit Crazy Horse. I swear, the kids didnt think it was real! When we pulled up they shouted that theyve heard of it on NatGeo. They were very excited. It looked different than when Stefanie and I went 11 years ago. Of course, no trip is complete without a visit,to the air and space museum. And naturally, we ended the day with 6 hours of swimming. 😳
